About This Site

Finding someone in custody in Hillsborough County is rarely about one search box. It depends on knowing which system holds the person, whether that is the county jail roster, the state corrections locator, or a federal system. This site pulls those rosters, locators, and contact details into one organized place so you do not have to guess where to start.

Why We Built This Site

Florida keeps most jail and inmate information open to the public, but the hard part is figuring out which office actually holds the record you want. The county sheriff runs the local jail roster, which covers people awaiting court and those serving short county sentences. The Florida Department of Corrections runs a completely separate locator for people sentenced to state prison. Federal and immigration detainees show up in their own national systems. We built this site to gather those rosters, locators, contact numbers, visitation rules, and records-request steps in one spot, so a search starts in the right place instead of a dead end.

What You Will Find Here

The pages here walk through each part of the lookup process for Hillsborough County.

  • Help with inmate lookups, including jail inmate records, jail roster mugshots, and court records after a jail arrest.
  • A page for each detention facility in the county, with address, phone, and visitation details.
  • Step-by-step guidance for the county jail roster and the statewide Florida inmate locator.
  • How to request a booking record or booking photo, and what kind of response time to expect.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. It has no tie to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, any Florida jail or corrections department, or any other government agency. We point you to official sources, but we do not run any of them.

  • We cannot release, hold, or transfer anyone in custody.
  • We cannot post bond, schedule a visit, or send money for you.
  • We cannot give legal advice.
  • We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or address stays current.

Only the sheriff's office or the corrections department can confirm current custody status, charges, or a release. This site can point you to the right roster, but the official answer comes from them.

Search Partners

Some pages include search boxes powered by third-party providers that set their own prices and run their own results. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, this site may earn a referral fee, which is what keeps the site free to use. We do not control how those partners price their services or what their searches return.
